The Manduka Rectangular Bolster is a lightweight, rectangular bolster with a resilient, durable filling of 30% recycled fibers that provides soft cushioning and light support.
Use of a rectangular bolster
The Rectangular bolster is ideal for when you want to use a bolster for the first time in your yoga practice. A rectangular bolster is wider, so it supports much if not all of your back. Also, a rectangular bolster is sturdier and will not move or roll while in use.
Yoga bolsters
Yoga bolsters are often used in Restorative yoga, Pregnancy yoga and Iyengar, but can be a valuable tool with any yoga style. They are very useful for postures related to meditation and rest.
Some yogis like to put them under their knees or back during Savasana for extra comfort. Using a bolster can be a comfortable way to open the chest and help you focus on your breathing.
