Use & Maintenance
- Storage: Roll up your Manduka PROlite yoga mat with the top side facing outwards and the studs inwards. This keeps the corners of the mat flat while practicing.
- Breaking in: The surface texture of the PROlite non-slip yoga mat improves with use. The best way to break in this mat is to use it daily. If you want to speed up this process even further, you can scrub your yoga mat with coarse sea salt and a sponge, then rinse thoroughly. Next, press out the moisture by rolling the mat tightly in a towel. Afterward, let the yoga mat air dry thoroughly in the sun.
- Cleaning: This can be done with Manduka Mat Wash Spray or a non-aggressive household cleaning agent and a damp cloth or sponge. Afterwards, hang your yoga mat to dry thoroughly in the sun.
- Never clean your mat with a high-pressure washer or garden hose, never leave it in the bath or shower for a long time, do not wash the mat in the washing machine, and do not use a vacuum cleaner. This can damage your yoga mat.
Green Mission
Manduka PRO series yoga mats are designed to last a lifetime (or two), drastically reducing the amount of PVC mats that end up in landfills every year. During the production of most PVC products, toxic emissions can be released into the air. However, the PRO series yoga mats are manufactured using a process that releases absolutely no harmful substances into the atmosphere. Furthermore, the PRO series mats are certified as safe for human contact by Öko-Tex, an environmental certification agency in Europe for the textile industry.
