The three doshas
-
Vata dosha
Vata represents enthusiasm, lightness, and creativity. People with a Vata dosha often have an athletic build. When Vata is out of balance, restlessness and sleep problems can occur.
The Vata candle has a scent of tuberose and jasmine.
-
Pitta dosha
Pitta is characterized by a logical and focused nature. People with a Pitta dosha are usually of average height and have a muscular build. When the balance is disturbed, outbursts of anger and difficulty relaxing may occur.
The Pitta candle has an "Aqua Oudh" scent.
-
Kapha dosha
Kapha stands for calmness, loving-kindness, and understanding. People with a Kapha dosha often have an impressive physique and well-defined facial features. When the balance is disturbed, there may be a tendency to overeat, exercise little, and sleep excessively.
The Kapha candle has a scent of sage and mint.
This way, the candle burns evenly.
Let the candle burn until the entire surface of the wax has melted. If the candle is extinguished too early, a hole may form in the wax, preventing the candle from burning completely. Allow the melted wax to reach a depth of approximately 1 cm before extinguishing the candle.
Trim the wick when it becomes too long. This prevents the flame from becoming too large and the candle from burning down unnecessarily quickly. Conversely, a wick that is too short can prevent a wide candle from melting all the way to the rim. The correct wick length is therefore important for proper burning. As a rule of thumb, a wider candle requires a longer wick than a narrower candle.
Ayurveda
Ayurveda is an ancient health philosophy from India that focuses on positive health, natural beauty, and a long life. Within Ayurveda, health is associated with the balance between three subtle doshas or energies: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.
The three doshas each have their own characteristics. The Veda scented candles are based on this, with a distinct fragrance for each dosha.
